Who do I go to if I want to invest in index funds?

Obviously I'm looking for the lowest fees and costs, I'm interested in funds domestic and overseas.

Thanks guys

Go for a No-load Fund
See if your bank sells them.
It is silly to pay a sales charge for buying something that is EXACTLY the same as a no load version.

Vanguard has very low cost index funds. Fidelity's index funds are also quite inexpensive. For more investment guidelines, go to the webpage listed below.

Find a financial advisor who knows what he is doing!!!!!

You'll have to pay fees, but it will be worth it when you're put in reputable funds and don't have to worry about it!!!!

Try Merrill Lynch

Well Vanguard is a company that has some great index funds. I believe you can go on their website and invest with them directly.

However, you may want to consider ETF's (exchange-traded funds) which offer a much larger variety of choices. For instance you can invest in the S&P500, the Russell 2000, Basic Materials, Technology, QQQQ, etc etc. Using 6 or 8 of these you can be incredibly diversified.

The caveat here is that first, you need to educate yourself about them, and second, they trade like stocks, so there are trading charges. If you want to do this all yourself, get an account at Sharebuilder.com or Etrade and do your own investing with reasonable costs for trades.

Check ishares.com for lots of info about what ETF's are.
