Why can't I use my IRA funds to invest in an S-Corp? |
I know it's probably not the type of question most folks can answer, but I can't seem to get any help on this one. My IRA custodian will not approve an S-Corp investment I'd like to make due to some regulation, but I can't seem to find any "regulation" that supports their stance, and I don't want to go to my tax advisor if I don't have to. Does anyone know the answer? If you can provide me with a reference so that I can read more on this, that would be great! Thanks in advance to anyone who responds! i dont know if this helps but, you cant use your funds if you dont completly own the s-corp. meaning, you need enough money to pay cash for the s-corp. no loans are accepted. so if the s-corp is $250,000 then you need $250,000 in your IRA |
