Which fund or funds would you stash $15K in? Please help me decide?

I am new to investing, but I have been reading a lot. I wanted to make the best financial decision so my money could keep rolling over. If you were me, which fund or funds would you invest $15K in and how much $$$ ?

FUND A 鈥?Taxable Money Market with 3.98% return
(avg = 3.26%) & a $3000.00 min required
FUND B 鈥?Taxable Short Term Bond Fund with 4.90% return (avg = 4.23%) & a $3000.00 min required
FUND C 鈥?Bank Money Market with 5.15% return
(avg = 0.75%) & a $1000.00 min required
FUND D - 6 Months CD with 4.06% return
(avg =2.48%) & a $10000.00 min required
FUND E 鈥?12 Moths CD with 3.06% return
(avg = 2.43) & a $500.00 min required
FUND F 鈥?5 Years CD with 4.25% return
(avg = 2.82) & a $1k min required

Thanks so much!!

I'm in my mid-30s & I don't really need to spend this money what-so-ever; therefore it would be like I never had it, so to speak

Fund C.

Stay far away from bonds as their current effective yield is 0

Actually it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. How long will you be investing this money? Is your age an investment factor? Is there any chance you will need it in an emergency? How much risk of loss are you willing to assume? How many fees or costs are you willing to assume? A bond fund is designed to get you a payment periodically. The interest does not "rollover" and compound. Money markets and cd's are good if you may need to get at the money fairly quickly. There are other growth funds that can accomplish long term goals if that is what you want. A meeting with an investment advisor can be free and very educational if they ask these questions and help by giving you options and a prospectus. You will probably need one in order to put the money into a fund anyway. If you are thinking cd, ask you bank to let you talk to the advisor. They will meet with you for FREE!

You don't need to spend the money, and you're in your 30's, then why stash it in a low return investment? Take some risk, make twice as much and put it in a index fund. You'll beat the pros and won't do any worse than the market.

as uneasy as the market is I would invest in the fund D you may need the money for unexpected things and it will be available without penalty in 6 months if you need the money

I would go for neither of these ones as I know far better safe investments with higher returns, but maybe you have a reason for these 'choices'. Make or let yourself make a solid financial/investment plan that includes short, mid and long term wishes and plans as well as personal circumstances. There is plenty out there that can make your money grow (safely). Feel free to contact me with questions you have (without me charging you :) so no obligations)
