What are the best long term mutual fund I can invest, expecting 15% growth per year?

What are the best long term mutual fund I can invest, expecting 15% growth per year?

You cannot "EXPECT 15%" ever.

History tells you 8% ish.

And that fluctuates.

Mutual funds cannot "expect 15%" as no one knows the future. Historically, equities can give you around 7%-8% after inflation.

If you want 15% growth per year in a mutual fund then, stick it in a sector related mutual fund. It is very risky but with risk comes reward. If you can stomach the risk (and don't mind losing the money you are investing), then go ahead.

Just think about the Tech bubble when mutual fund managers were promising +15% gains per year.

15% returns are probably not likely in the foreseeable future. I am going to make an assumption that you are still in a learning phase of investing and I will base some advise on that.

If you are really long term, and you really want mutual funds, you should stick with Index funds鈥?not very exciting, but very cheap to operate. The pros are always trying to beat the market鈥?sometimes successful, sometimes not鈥?but index funds ARE the market.

Long term investing is probably best thought of as asset allocation rather then performance chasing. There are balanced funds that are already allocated into a rich spread of companies of differing capitalization as well as bonds and foreign stocks鈥?There are also life style funds that change as you age.

I would strongly suggest that you stick with no-load funds only鈥?you want management fees to be as low as possible (that鈥檚 why I like indexed funds) .

In fact, because of what I鈥檝e mentioned below, putting your money into short term CD鈥檚 right now might be the wisest course of action鈥?

Unfortunately, there are no easy answers, these are all decisions you have to make depending on your age, your income, your debt and willingness for risk

WARNING:
The market has been falling, there is a lot of uncertainty in the world, Iran, Iraq, oil prices, national debt, trade deficit, housing is slowing(a huge source of personal spending may now be slowing), personal debt, inflation, higher interest rates and meager wage increases each by themselves can be a problem.
