What is a the best no load fund to invest in? |
What is a the best no load fund to invest in? If I had to choose just one: Oakmark's Equity and Income, OAKBX. It mainly consists of large cap value stocks, but it also includes small and mid caps, as well as foreign stocks, and about 30-40% bonds. This mix has allowed the fund to do extremely well in ALL kinds of markets, especially Bear markets. It was one of the few funds which managed to give gains during the big bear market of 2000-2003. It has very low volatility. In a bull market, it won't do as well as a pure stock fund, but it's a great core holding. try vanguard.com, the 500 explorer is pretty good |
