Can small investors i.e.villagers ,marginal farmers etc invest in mutual fund without pan no. ? .? |
our FM wants that new generation ,villagers small fermers ,even poor of rural area can take parts in mutual fund , but recently sebi give notice for pan no . is cupulsary for each mf investers . CAN GOVT.ISSU VOTER CARDS WITH PEN NO . IN RURAL AREA . Surely you can Yes they can. There is a scheme for mutual funds called as micro investing. Where for as little as 75Rs you can get started in investing. You dont need a PAN number for this. However from 31st of December PAN card will be mandatory for all mutual fund investments. They can approach the nearest post office where they will get guided on their investment options without any PAN numbers. The post office staff can answer them since they are local and well closely knitted. no noone can invest in MF or shares without a pan card . pan card can be applied for by anyone,living anywhere in India Whatever FM says is within the statutory limits. When you apply to invest in mutual funds, if PAN no. is necessary, there will be a place for it in the application and unless you complete it, the application will be invalidated. Therefore, you cannot escape the demand for PAN no. when it is actually required as per rule. NO |
