Does anyone know if thee is any restriction on the Japanese banks to invest in a fund which will use leverage?

Heard that Japanese banks are not permitted to invest in a leverage fund at the fund level ,just want to find out more about such restrictions and if there will be a difference if the leverage is at the intermediate holding company level
