If i invest in a indiamutual fun, and if it performs excpetionally well,do i get additional money as dividend? |
like tata infrastructurefund, it has performed very well so if in the strt i ha invested in it do i stad to get any significat additiona money at par with the perfrormance of the fud, or do i jus get the normal increase wat thet are offering in thei red herring prospectus??..in all do i stad to get any additional money if the fud in which i invest performs exceptioanlly well?? You may get some of the money as a dividend, but only if the companies the fund invested in pay higher dividends than expected. The fund may sell some of the companies if they think the stock price has gone as high as it will go, in which case they pay these gains as capital gains distributions. But usually most of your gains are reflected in the Net Asset Value of the mutual fund (the cost of the shares), and you have to sell shares to realize this type of gain. yep you do |
