What is the best and safest way in invest found monies? CD's, money market?

Based on my personal experiences CDs offer the highest return and safest way of investing.

I find CD rates at www.bankrate.com and I shop around my local banks before getting one. If I can find 5 years at 5% I'll try to get a CD because that's a good bargain. It just matters how much money and how long you want to tie up your money for. CDs are good because you are guaranteed your rate for the length of the CD longer CDs even have a one time bump up option so during the first half of the CD if the rate were to increase you can get the higher rate just one time. If the rate goes down you are still locked in to the higher rate.

Money Markets offer a high rate of return but they aren't guaranteed. PayPal offers a 5.04% APY but they claim on their website that rate is not promised. But Money Markets offer flexibility because you can take your money when you want.

What I call the blend between CD and Money Market is an eSavings account. ING Direct offers them and many online banks. ING offers 4.5% now and BB&T has an eSavings for 4% eSavings offer the a much higher interest rate from a traditional savings account (8-10 times higher). You still have access to your money with an eSavings account but the APY your earn will probably be a little less than with the CD or MM acounts.

It's all just a matter of shopping around and finding what suits your needs

Safest is money market fund and is the most liquid as well.

First off DO NOT INVEST at the web page above. SCAM. Second, Foreign exchanges are the RESKIEST investment out there. There is a very high beta.

The money markets are considered the 鈥渟afest鈥?investment out there. It is so safe; they call it 鈥渃ash鈥? Obviously, nothing is 100% guaranteed, but this is as safe as you are going to get. People like CDs because of the fixed rate of return, but there are not very liquid.
