Whats the safest place to invest my money that have at least a 10% yearly return?

I can tell you where the current returns are 10% but they may change with time.

Your best bet is a closed end fund specializing in writing covered calls. They are most likely to privide a somewhat stable return over time.

BEO and BEP are a couple of candidates. Neither has a very long track record but the promise is there.

Another is EEF. Similar strategy. Also greater than 10% return.

The main problem with this strategy is that you will have to pay annual taxes on the 10% income unless it is in a Roth IRA.

And that 10% return may not last. Other covered call funds are returning closer to 9.0%.

A better strategy might be to invest in a fund that has a history of a better than a 10% average over time. It however can vary significantly from year to year.

For example GAM has annual return since 1979 of 15.6%. The fund however has been in existance since 1927. Not too many funds can claim such a long record or such a solid long term annual return.

Here is another almost as old. ADX been in existance since 1929. Annual return since 1979 is 12.9%

Canadian Natural gas trusts yield over 10% now and unless oil drops below $40 a barrel should continue to do so. They were knocked down to good buys in recent oil price decline. PWI and AAV are good ones.

If you want a higher return you have to take on more risk, You could buy an electric utility like Florida Power and Light (FPL) which returns around 4% as a dividend. Some of the natural gas royalties trusts like San Juan (SJT) return around 8%.
