Is it better to invest my money in real estate(rental properties) or in the stock market? Why? It depends on market conditions. If you find a great investment that is a publicly traded stock or real estate, your upside is determined by how much you put in and how volatile the investment is. The stock market is certainly more volatile, but potential gains are bigger with riskier stocks. Some real estate markets have seen 200-300% gains in the past 10 years, but very few have seen downsides that steep. |
