What's the best way to invest you money to get the best results?

I'm in talks with a consultant, and I have about $500 to invest. I need to know the best way to get some serious dividends. This is not for a get-rich-quick scheme, but I'm running out of options here. Can anyone help?

I have to tell you that you aren't going to get serious dividends off $500. Just being serious. The highest dividend I have ever heard of was only like $5.00. The stock was $35.00 a share. So, that would end up only being $71.42 for the quarter(3 months) on your $500.00. That's not exactly serious dividends! Go get a job and save money every week for the next 30-40 years. Then you will see serious dividends.

I've got some great ideas for you...

If you want ZERO risk:

1. Open an account at EmigrantDirect.com. It's a bank that is FDIC Insured. If you private message me, I'm even authorized to pay you a sign-up bonus because I'm a registered sales agent for them.

2. Open an account with INGDirect.com. It's just like EmigrantDirect & I'm also a sales agent for them too.

If you feel like taking on some more risk:

1. Open an account at Zecco.com & trade stocks. I can get you a sign-up bonus on that too.

2. Open an account at Prosper.com and make loans to other individuals. I can get you a sign-up bonus on that one as well.

The first thing is to not pay for a consultant if you have that little money. They will undoubtedly want a chunk of that, and leave you with even less to invest.

Like other people have said, $500 isn't enough to bother with on the stock market. You'll probably lose 10% of that just on the commissions to buy and sell. Open up a savings account at 4% or get a 1-year government bond or something to get you started. Once you save up $5,000, then you are ready to start playing in the big leagues.

Take the time to start reading up on the stock market and learn how, while you're saving up your money so that you'll be ready once you have it.
