I am wanting to invest some money in order to create additional income short-term, any suggestions? |
I am wanting to invest $7,500 cash in order to create additional short-term income to help with some expenses and to save up towards a house. Any options that would result in a good return on this investment in the short term? I want to buy a house in about 2-3 years, and not go into debt while getting there and also pay as much down as possible on the house (I am a Dave Ramsey (radio show) fan, as you can tell.) I have absolutely no debt, and I want to keep it that way. Thanks for the help. Any suggestions? No scams please, or anything with telemarketing or stuffing envelopes, etc. This is about an investment. Way to go Ramsey fan! Your plan is great! First, check out Dave's Investment ELP in your area. S/He should direct you like Dave himself! Try some mutual funds like Fidelity or vanguard. With a 2-3 year time horizon and a goal of saving for a house you would be better off staying away from mutual funds or stocks. Forget the banks as well, go open a brokerage account ( Fidelity for example ) and invest in CD's and or a money market fund. You will get a wider choice of CD options and higher rate of return from a brokerage firm than from the bank. Hi, i recommand you a good and basic tutorial for investing. it covers all Issues related to your Investing and everything around it. |
