What's the best, nonrisky way to invest money to make a decent amount on it. more than a lousy 5.4%? Research Vanguard Mutual Funds. Think long term Asset allocation, between stocks, bonds, money markets and CD's. Good mutual funds. You can get them on your own, but you have to do a whole lot of research, or you can pay a small fee to a financial advisor, which is what I do. There is no non-risky way to make more than that. It depends on how much you have to invest. In general, doing the opposite of the general trend is always the best for the short term. look for advice on:- even a mutual fund that tracks the S and P 500 should yield better than 5.4% You could also try investing in stocks yourself.
