What r good company's to invest money into or buy stock with?

Trying to see what companies can I purchase stock with

Right now all of the big oil companies are doing well. Exxon has returned like 7% or something over the past year.

Any of the house hold names (ex. Johnson & Johnson) are a good bet. Not too risky.

Walmart is a good bet, since they are a market leader
another one would be Microsolf, Home Depot,Coke ,General Electric , all of these are very good bets You will not get rich quick but over 20 or so years you should do very well

That is a really tough question. Here are some things that I look for: revenue growth, earnings growth, insider buying, low pe, high return-on-equity. You can find this information about stocks at yahoo finance.

For investment ideas, I think the best place to start is to see what the best investors are buying and selling. You can find this information at ttp://www.top10traders.com - this is a free site that lets you create a portfolio of stocks with $100,000 in "play" money. Each day the site ranks the best performing portfolios, so you can see how your picks perform compared to other investors. You can also read posts on investing from the best traders, as well as share your own investing ideas. There is also a charting feature , so you can see how your portfolio performs compared to the S&P 500.

Here are this month's best traders:
