Should I invest money I have in ISAs into something else?

Should I invest money I have in ISAs into something else?

ISAs are good if you are a tax payer as you get the interest tax free.

I'd leave it in the ISA ...

If you can afford to lose some or all of the money (the latter is highly unlikely) and want a higher rate of return then why not consider buying shares. I have found them a better and a more interesting investment than ISAs etc. If you cannot afford to lose any of the money I would stick with the ISAs.
Please note
Its very important to do your research into the companies before buying and buy into a range of companies.

Not possible to give the best advice, without knowing more about your circumstances. If you are investing long term, then a share-based ISA would have better potential than a cash ISA. If you are investing short term, then you may as well stick with a cash ISA.

Hi, i recommand you a good and basic tutorial for investing. it covers all Issues related to your Investing and everything around it.

wish it will help you.

In principle, ISAs are a good place to have your money invested, so I wouldn鈥檛 encourage you to move, unless you have a specific reason for it.

ISAs can be used for short term savings in cash, or for long term savings in equities, unit trusts and OEICs. Your investment returns are largely tax free, apart from dividends from UK equities, so I think the real question is why do you want to move it?

There may be occasions when you might want to move money into another tax exempt investment such as a pension or a VCT, which is fair enough, but remember that your ISA allowance is limited to 拢7,000 this year (拢7200 from April 2008). Once you have used up the current year鈥檚 allowance, you can鈥檛 put any more in until next year, so think carefully before taking investments out of your ISA.
