What is the best way, low risk but with high interest rates, to invest the money in my personal account? |
I am sure this is a point pondered by many graduating students...I have student loans that I will now have to repay and how do I do this by investing the money I have. If I can do this and make some money on top of that, it would be ideal. And I am sure some wiseguy out there can surpass these goals easily. Enlighten me, thanks. Get the student loans paid off before you invest. You'll be losing the difference in the interest between what you PAY (in interest) on the student loans and what you RECEIVE (in interest or gains) on the investment. You've got to understand that there's an inverse relationship between the rate of return (interest) and the risk. You're given a higher rate of return for higher risk investments. It's like gambling. If you want security, look towards the Treasury Bill side of the spectrum. If you want a high rate of return, look into risky stocks. The best thing is to balance the two with a portfolio that's diverse. Look into mutual funds. Enjoy! |
