Hi i want to invest money in stock exchange what associate degree will help me understand the stock exhange.?

please note i dont want to be a broker i just want to invest money in stock so i want a degree or something else that will give an idea of or close to that what i am getting into. thank you.

Getting a degree to invest in the stock market is like becoming a CPA to do your taxes. It will help, but its really not worth the effort or the money. You will learn a lot about valuation, statistics and math, which are all helpful as an investor. But as an individual investor you will learn about a lot of stuff you wont have access to and wont be able to use. If you want a degree you should go into investing and finance commercially if you want to make the most of it.

If you want to be a stockbroker you dont need a degree for that either.

I agree with the first answer. You don't need a degree. You need a friend in the banking/investing business.

You can take some undergraduate courses in economics, foreign trade, corporate law, etc. My undergraduate degree included some courses called "Economic decision making" and "Micro-economics." These classes will help you read a financial statement and an annual report.

But it's the friend in the business with an MBA that will be the most beneficial to you.

The second comment is also worth listening to. You may do better by finding a mutual fund that has the right mixture of stocks for your investment style and let the fund manager do the investing.
