I'm trying to invest money in either stocks, 401K, IRA's, etc. But I know nothing on this so any help or info? |
I am basically looking for anyone that has any information or ideas on investments and can help me out with this. My job offers deffered comp through ING and some other plans but i'm not sure what to choose. I'm already enrolled in a pension plan but I want to invest money on my own. Any ideas or web sites? Please help, thanks in advance. If you are looking short term, look at CD's , Money Market or savings acccount. I know the website name seems kind of weird but believe me it is a very well written. Everything you need to know about how and when and why to invest is on there. Just follow the tabs and soon youll be educating your friends on dividends, yields, and other "foolishness" Read the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, etc. Investing and/or playing the stock market can be like gambling...very expensive. I had the same problem as you have. Don't do it!!!! We are headed for the biggest stock market crash in history and these types of products usually are invested in the stock market via mutual funds. You can only invest in a 401k through your employer if they offer it. Remember....if the government has anything to do with it, the government will never let go of it with out making a huge profit. They will be raising the age when you can take it out to 67 1/2 in two year increments. Who wants to wait to retire at almost 70? America is on sale right now. Real Estate is cheap enought to get a positive cash flow. Becareful, only get a fixed loan, rates will probably never be this cheap again. I am not sure how anyone knows we are headed for the biggest stock market crash ever. That is a bold statement. She may be right, but if I were a betting woman, I would say no. |
