You have asked a a very logical question. To get the answer you will have to compare the charges of ULIP & Term+MF.

ULIP are full of charges. There are various charges , which are deducted from your premium & rest is invested & that too is subject to various charges & units are deducted on monthly basis to recover the charges.

Now in Term+ Mutual , Term insurance is cheapest & basic form of insurance. Rest amount should be invested in Mutual Funds & you will have full control on the way you shoul invest. All this is done with less charge so your return is always better then ULIP.

If you decide to go for ULIP then read & understand charges so that you can take informed decision.
