Currently which is better to invest in Silver or gold?

If I had millions of dollars, I would invest in gold since it goes up more. However I don't, so I'd rather buy a lot of silver than a lot of gold. I believe silver will be a good long term investment.

because the current gold/silver ratio is 55, higher than the historical range of 15-20, making silver relatively undervalued to gold.

the only "problem" is that for the same value, it's easier to carry 1 ounce of gold rather than a dead weight of 55 ounces of silver, as long as we are talking about holding physical bullion. otherwise, you can look into buying certificates like the Perth Mint ones.

the idea behind playing the ratio is to ride the ratio as far down as you can towards the historical range, then trade your silver for gold. then, as the ratio reverses, make the other side of the trade. you then gradually accumulate more of both. this may or may not work going forward, but the historical ratio chart suggests that it is a strategy worth considering.
