Is it too late to invest in gold? It's at $975/oz?

Im worried that if I buy it now it will peak around 1000 and start falling in value, then again I think maybe it will keep going up since its been going up so much lately and the market could get worse? Thx

The fundamentals are still quite good for gold. Supply is tight, Asians like gold as a wealth store, industrial demand is still tight and it takes many years for mines to be brought online. Also, the US appears to be facing increased inflation and devaluation of the currency. This increases the price of gold because it is priced in US dollars. Check out the link for a very good commentary by John Embry. He is arguably the best precious metals investor in Canada.

You can expect a bump and perhaps a pull back at $1000 as it is a round number and a big one at that...but before getting into any resource you should fully understand why its at that price and what drives it.

Oil is the same - which is also a good investment right now - it also depends what you are going to invest in - stocks, private company, the actual resource....etc.
