Know of a service that will manage my income and bills?

What I am interested in is a service that I can tell what my long and short term goals are - have my paycheck and other misc money deposited into an account - and have them handle paying my bills and investments for me - without me ever having to touch it. (of course what they would have to deposit $ into a personal account for me to use for my own personal use - ie groceries, gas, clothes, ect.) I can work wonders on creating a budget - and it all looks great on paper - however I have never had much luck with following through. I have set up seperate accounts to have money put in with the intentions of having bills paid out of it and using it for nothing else....but eventually I end up slacking on that too. Has anyone ever heard of such a service? Or even a company that might do something similar?

You don't really need a "service". You can always find someone in your city willing to act as your personal assistant for a fee.

What you really need is discipline.

You sound like one of those fools who soon parts with his hard earned money. You're either going to mess up your own finances or someone's going to rob you blind doing it for you. (If I were in your city, I'd be happy to do it for you, but I'm expensive, and so will be anyone else, my friend.)

If you just can't handle it, there are ways of making it easy. Have your employer do direct deposit, and have your bank account accessible on-line for automatic bill pay. This is good for regular accounts like utility bills, car and house payments, insurance, etc., maybe even credit cards, but this is no good for not-so-well-known companies. Your bank will also make regular transfers into savings for any amount or account you want.

Some of your bills you're going to have to do yourself.

If this still doesn't work for you, dude, just get married. Have the woman in your life take care of you while you go out and play.

They're called accountants. I thought everyone had one. I do.

Try American Express - they have bill pay and can set up your goals and savings.

I know of a free bill pay service that handles your bills, but it doesn't do all the other things you require. mycheckfree.com is the bill paying service. I manage my money and expenses with Quicken, but it is not automatic like you wish. Good luck.

It's best that you actually learn the discipline to do those things. You CAN do it. You just have to make the TIME to do it.

There is no magic bullet. Even if you get someone to handle it for you, you better be paying attention or they could rob you blind. If you are paying attention to it, you might as well do it yourself.

You can pay an accountant to do that for you.

Or, set up your bank's bill pay to do the same.

ive never heard of that. . . . LOL!

what???
