URGENT: How does interest rates vary on investements?

I have to write a paper on interest rates and i need to knw how an interest rate varies on investment accounts and are tehse changes uniform? i dont even know what teh question means elt alone how to answer it???? plze help!!!!!!!!!!

That can happen. Sometimes investment are subject to variable rates depending on different things. Most contracts specify those factors.

The stock market for example can be variable
google different IRA and stock options etc. you will figure it out. It is like a loan only the for investments. A savings account for example may have a fixed rate that means it is the same all the time unless it goes up or down yearly etc.
but variable can be determined by the Prime Rate etc.
