If a company received a default judgement against me, can they take property, investments held with boyfried? |
If a default judgement is received by Unifund Partners CCR against someone, can the judgement creditor take investment accounts and property held jointly with your boyfriend? They can make a lean against anything that your named on. Regardless if its jointly owned or not. Cars, Houses, Bank Accounts, Savings, etc etc Yes They can make a lien against anything that has your name on it...... What state are you in? Check your state laws, each state is different....he shouldve went to court to arrange something. Never let something default! if it has your name on it they can take it. Umm im not sure.. I know someone that has judgements against him and his wife.. but they own other propertys and nothing has been done? I am in ohio.. so I am not sure |
