Which bank is the best to open an account ranging from savings to investments?

Where exactly are you? Can't help you precisely without a location.

It's hard to say if there's any one bank that can handle all of your money needs, anyway.

I've chosen to go with a variety of investment companies. My savings/checking needs are served by a local credit union, something local that I can walk up to at any time to do my banking.

My investments were chosen based on cost and variety of investments. Location was not criteria. And I feel pretty confident of my investment needs and goals, so I didn't feel beholden to my CU for investment support.

But that's probably why you asked for a true soup-to-nuts bank. My grudge against such companies, esp the bigger ones, is the fees you pay, whether upfront or in the background, for all the help you get or don't get.

Well I would shop around the banks in your area...go in and ask for info. hey have to let you know. They may not have it written down but you are allowed to get all the info you need. Ask about money market accounts and tiered savings accounts. Some banks even offer interest bearing checking accounts.
