Would it be a good investment to open a bank account with an European Country on the euro dollar to gain earnings? better interest? Maybe, it depends if you think that the Euro is going to out gain the Canadian dollar on the world markets. The Canadian dollar is pretty strong right now. Re: doing so as an investment, after inflation your interest earnings are going to be meager. That's no investment it's a hedge. If you want to do a poor job of playing defense go for interest income. If you would rather be on offense you should concentrate on capital gains. |
