Bank Account yes (takes three days to complete) ACH transfer is your best option. But handing it to them and you can trade with it next day. Yes you can, you have several options like wiring the money in etc. I have a scottrade account a while back they had a problem with their electronic funding through the checking account (I think its back up now though last time I checked.)
