What is an investment account with a bank? |
I'm signing up for a savings account and its asking me if i want an investment account. what is it. and is it okay for a teenager to sign up? As long as you are 18 (depending on where you live) you can open an investment account. Depending on the type of investment account, they can allow you to purchase bonds, stocks, treasuries and certificates of deposit. The "money market" account will generally pay a higher interest rate than the standard savings account on cash balances. |
