What's the best investment vehicle to retire with $3million in 20 years? how much do I have to put down via compounding quarterly? and at what % rate? The most consistent, highest-grossing investment manager of the last century maintained an average annual return of 16.5% for 30 years net of all fees. You may know him as Peter Lynch. Warren Buffett is obviously about to shatter his record, but assuming that you had one of the two at the helm, then you would need $120,000.00 at 16% for 20 Yrs to have 3 million in your account. i'd say 401k because your employer will match you but you'll need to stay on top of it. using my existing 401k plan, at $77 per paycheck with my boss matching 25%, in 15 years & maintainiing a 29.8% return, i'd make $3 million . when i retire at 65, i'd be at $150 million. my past average's been 27% |
