What city is good to live in downriver, or Southeast Michigan? Looking for inexpensive real estate.?

Recently made a huge mistake moving out of my hometown. Looking for advice on a good investment in Michigan. I would appreciate any suggestions.

You might try Battle Creek or Kalamazoo.

If your only concern is investment, you can pick any of the rural towns in the area between Lansing, Port Huron and Detroit.

I love the area around Holly and Fenton.

But if you intend to have a family there, you need to look at schools and such too.
