I'm looking for advice on selecting an online broker?

Hi. I'm looking to do some (day) trading. Approximately $10k investment initially. Full reinvestment. I will take a single position at the start of a trading day and divest within 8-48 hours. I'm looking for advice on which online broker to use to conduct my trades.

I do not need investment advice, or research. I have these tools available to me through other means. Instead I simply need someone to execute trades on my behalf. Timing is moderately important but not critical (i.e., within 10-15 minutes, so I don't think it should be an issue). I'm really looking for execution, and minimal cost.

So far the best solution I've seen is Scottrade's online system. Any advice is appreciated - either regarding Scottrade (hidden fees?) or other options.

Scottrade! Scottrade! Scottrade!!! I have been doing business with them for 5 yrs. The only extra fees you pay is for stocks trading under $1.00. I believe they charge 1/2 of 1 %. The executions are fast. They are willing to answer any questions you may have, and the are ALWAYS courteous! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

i would have to say for what you want to accomplish, day
trading using an online system, scottrade is probably
the route to go.

You can invest thru icici bank,open a dmat a/c and start trading.

I've had Scottrade for 5 years now and have been very happy with them.
