Write, or call, or look on their internet sites, a few investment banks. And ask. Tell them you are about to go to university and want to take electives that matter the most when hiring and working, instead of Comparative Basketweaving.

Don't be needy and greedy with their time and they will likely fill you pretty completely in.

Be sure to ask about social qualities: how do they value fraternal organizations, volunteer work, sports. How might you learn to behave in the social life of an investment banking professional? Outside of growing up with it, how does one learn yachting anyhow?

Take notes, pay attention. Ask if you can call or write back for advice as the years slip by. (You could have half a dozen interviews set up way before taking your degree.)

But don't forget the cardinal rule, ever: Don't be needy and greedy with their time.
