Any big investment firms beside nyc?

i know most of the big firm are located in nyc i.e. goldman sach, morgan stanley, jp morgan, ubs, deutch bank, bear stearn etc. but any1 here know if they are located elsewhere like in the south, midwest, west? like sf, la, miami, dallas or what? cuz im thinking leaving nyc and going live elsewhere and finding a job with them.

All of the large investment banks have branch offices in the major cities. Depending on what sort of job you want, you can likely find a position with them if you have the right skills and connections in other locations.

Sure there are smaller regional investment banks that cater to the small & mid market.

Most of them are small firms that do small deals. (The major investment banks are not interested in those deals.)

You might find it difficult to get a job with a 10 person firm that does three deals a year though.

Try a search for the specific city you plan to move to.

So for example, if you do a search on "Chicago Investment Banks" you come up with a list of about 60 firms.
