Having trouble with recruitment agencies need help!?

I am trying to look for work in the banking area as a temp and I have signed up with several agencies with no such luck. I even got a rejection email from one of them saying that I wasn't good enough for them to take on as a candidate?

I want to get into investment banking in London and seeing as I didn't graduate from Oxbridge type of university there seems to be a slight snobbery going on.

What I would like to know is are there any good recruitment agencies that are able to help me and also what can I do to increase my chances of finding a temp job in banking?

I graduated in a Masters Degree in Finance and obviously thats not enough either!

Book an appointment interview with one of the recruitment agencies and talk to a consultant there about what sort of work you want to do. If they're a good agency they should tell you the best way to go about getting that job.
I had the same problem until I actually had a proper face-to-face interview and we had a discussion where they told me i would first need some temporary work in areas related to what I wanted. They got me that work and then sure enough with enough experience they eventually got me a ful-time job in accounts (which is what I was looking for).

Are you trying to get a job that is not entry level w/o any actual experience? It sounds to me that you are attempting to get positions you are not qualified to do.
