What's the average salary of a bank employee?

I'm looking to switch careers from retail to something finance oriented. I have the experience to come in as a banking associate (personal banker, branch manager...) while taking the steps toward focusing on investments, but what is the general salary. And also if anyone has suggestions for another path within this field, I'd appreciate that as well.
