When should I take the CFA level 1 exam? |
I will graduate next May after studying economics (finance minor). I plan on moving to NYC to work as an analyst within an investment bank. Is it feasible to pass the exam the following December, keeping in mind the hours you have to put into work (especially when starting)? Basically I want to know: when do most people take the first test after they graduate? If you're working as an i-banking analyst, you're not going to have any free study time. So doubtful that the Dec date is a good idea. You pay for each window regardless of whether or not you take it, so save your money. Also, you'll need to get your series 7 and 63, so you'll already be studying for those. |
