Career; What can I do after studying statistics?

Hi, I'm a math major college student. I might pursue master of science in statistics right after. I just assume that it will help me out to get a better job.

I'm just wondering. What can I do with this statistics degree?
First I'm a worst computer programmer. I failed CS class when I was in freshman. And I'm a super good student who can apply for an Investment Bank or some consulting firm.

I'm thinking about actuarial job. (Actuary). Just wanna know some other options that I have. And which is easier to get.
What are the career path for statistician?

Thanks in advance

You can work in marketing, or insurance, or just about any company because they all need people to tell them the probability of their strategies succeeding, or they need r&d analysis, just about any company that provides goods or services, or has stocks. The world is your oyster.

trade stocks and teach math..$$$$$$$$$$$$

Probably not the answer you were looking for, but here goes: I took a Stats class senior year and wondered what people would ever do with the degree. (I'm more of a theatre person myself, not so much for math) But there are people who get paid LOTS of money to make statitics.

What are the percentages and figures for final job paths for graduated statisticians? (ahh, had to be done) Research m'lad, someone'll have compiled a table.

sorry but this is a joke,, you could allways calculate the PROBABILITY of getting a job!!!!!!!
sorry

work at department of census, or bureau of statistics or any places that do some polling.

A lot of people in your boat become Statisticians for any major company. Another option is working for the government. They are always looking for people with math backgrounds.

There are three types of lies. Lies, Damned lies, and statistics.

Stock grapher, teach, actuary, but you will no doubt start off with a menial job that makes you wonder why you studied this.

economic related field is best for you

Personally, I think the job that is easiest to get could be the worst job ever. I am a 48hour per week, security, officer and the job is too easy. You only get what you give...

I graduated from college with a BA in mathematics in 2005. I passed the first actuarial exam and I am sitting for the second one in May of 2008. After I pass both exams, I plan to pass exam 3.
