Can I trust TD AMERITRADE?

As I know, they have a CD for 3 months, APY is 5.3%. It's great, isn't it??? Especially in these days, all rates are dropping.:(

The question is Can I trust TD AMERITRADE?

According the information from its website, it's a stock and investment bank.

You can trust them as they are a very reliable and trustworthy company. They are headquartered in Toronto and their parent company is TD Bank Financial Group. I have been with Ameritrade for over 8 years now. They merged with TD Waterhouse in June of 2005. I have only used their services for stocks and bonds trading as I have no need for an online bank based in Canada (Old Dominion I think). It is very easy to make transactions, setup auto deductions if you plan on investing -if not you can still have regular deposits made into your account and then decide later what to do with it.

I think that they are great and have no problem with them at all.

CDs are FDIC insured - meaning that there is Federal deposit insurance that protects the first $100000 of deposits that are payable in the United States.

The CD is fine. And TD is fine too. They've been around for a very long time.
