Should i stick to it ?

Hi, I am currently pursuing Undergrad degree in Math (planning to do second degree in Economics).

I want to work in Finanial firm (probably in investment Bank doing analysis work once i graduate).

I got this part-time job 4 hr/day as computer operator in investement bank...(have to work for investment advisor and associate advisor).

Its not good paying....but should I stick to this job during my school time as well if I can manage it?
Would it look good on my resume ...once i graduate ?

thanks

If finance is in your future then taking some accounting, finance courses that are beyond what is required from the business core curriculum will help in boosting your knowledge and broaden your grasp of financing.

There are a lot of duties involved with finance and some require a CFP certificate so look into qualifying in taking the exam.

As far as your current job keep it if you know there is potential to move up! as you gain experience they might offer you functions or jobs that will increase your knowledge and give you great experience. Also will be a great reference once you finish school!

An other important issue is your personal credit report, it may seem unnecessary but many companies in the finance arena do weight their decisions on your credit report so it is best to find your credit report and clean it up if there are any blemishes.
Good luck!

Should you stick with it????

Good Question?

Ask yourself?

You be the judge?

Experience is valuable.

You know that this is only temporary employment - right?

Get the knowledge and training and this energy will help you over the longrun.
