I banking qualifications?

Hello,

I have recently saw that to get into the top investment banks such as Goldman Sachs etc,for an intern in investment banking, you have the best chance if you have gone to LSE, Cambridge and some others.
To get into a normal investment bank (average one) as an intern for an investment banker, what sort of GCSEs/A levels/ Uni degree should you have, and would it matter what uni you went to?

You should preferably have a bachelor's degree in finance, though generally you can get a job with most degrees. While having a degree from a prestigious school can make a small difference, it's not the be-all end-all. Even if you've just gone to an average school, as long as you have a good GPA and some extra-curricular activities you should be able to find a position as an intern in an average investment bank, as long as your interview and resume skills are good.
