Does Vanderbilt command respect on the Street when it comes to Investment Banking?

This question is obviously going out to anyone in IB. I would also like to pose the same question out there to people in Consulting.

The Vanderbilt name does command some respect. Obviously, it will not get the same respect as most schools in the Northeast b/c they are all a bunch of inbreeders and think that nobody outside of the Ivy League can think. With a Vandy degree you will be able to get great jobs in cities such as Memphis, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, St. Louis and maybe even Chicago. Good Luck.
