What are some key things I should know before going into an investment banking internship interview?

You should focus on coming across as articulate, hard-working and aggressive. You should come across as being willing to work long hours.

You should express a lot of enthusiasm for being involved in corporate deal-making and capital markets. You should hopefully have some at least basic understanding of what roles an investment bank plays in various transactions, from arranger and syndication agent in debt financings, to underwriter in equity financings, to advisor in M&A transactions.

In terms of day to day skills, the most important skills for analysts are powerpoint, excel and research skills, but I suspect that for an internship they will be focused less on skillset than finding someone with a lot of enthusiasm, desire and who seems a "banker type" -- (ideally -- aggressive, personable and smart).
