How can i start my career in investment banking after being a mechanical engineer? apply at investment banking firms for an entry level position. Study hard for the 7& 63 exams as they are very hard to pass. The do not want stupid people in their world. When you take the exams you MUST KNOW all synonims and atonims in the investment world. This is were they trick you. The CRD has many ways of asking the same thing you studied in what will appear a foreign language. easy, hope u get reincarnated as one get an mba and then go into investment banking in an area where your engineering skills are good background (manufacturing analysis m&a for example) go to school Start at the bottom and work you way up yes it is a gud question NOT POSSIBLE. YOU NEED AN ACCOUNTS BACK-GROUND. TRY DOING MBA WITH FINANCE SPECIALISATION. THEN YOU CAN CHOSE THIS LINE. I am changing my career from the sales area to finance, and I already have a lot of problems. I got even an MBA.... What can I say... MBA is the best solution, but everything depends on you ! Try to see some available courses, just to get in... then you can decide to do for example PMBA... in this way you will not lose your job and will start to search for a new one... then, if you will be successful during your studies... you can find very good job.
