What do recruiters look for when interviewing Investment banking interns?

Each firm will value different traits, and utilize different interview tactics to elicit these traits. Important ones include:

1. Leadership
2. Passion/drive
3. Technical/quantitative aptitude (intelligence)
4. Teamwork ability
5. Fit with the firm

For example, JPMorgan will have a 5-interview superday (if you make it past 1st round) where each interviewer will assess a different characteristic.

Two things really.
1. Financial Aptitude... typically you have to take a aptitude test that determines your ability to understand the simple mathmatics of the finacial industry. Very simple stuff.
2. The ability to sell. "Customer Service" is what the banking industry calls it. Can you sell or are you a pencil pusher...
