They assist public and private corporations in raising funds in the capital markets (both equity and debt), as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions.

They also help private highnetworth individuals as well. Good money to be made and a very educational career.

Investment Banking where you manage portfolio (basket of securities ) of your clients or you help raising money through issues....in india.....regulations are SEBI Act and their guidelines and if foreign exchange is involved than RBI( Central Bank) and Central govt permission
