Investment Banking career at 27? |
I am 25years old and just graduated with a 2.1 in mechanical engineering. I spent 2.5years in the military due to the required service period in my country. I'm now pursuing my CFA level 1 and would be going to the University of Sydney in February 2008 to pursue a Masters of Commerce. When I complete my masters I would be 27 years old, would that make me too old for the graduate programs? You are never too old to go to school. Many employers look at older graduates and see someone more responsible and trustworthy, especially if you've got the grades to back yourself up. Your military background should also help assuming you had an honorable discharge. 27 isn't too old to start a career. Make sure you get the best grades you can. |
