Is it mandatory to have a series 7 or MBA to be an investment banker?

I am interested in perusing a career in investment banking and would like to know what requirements are needed. I am a current college student majoring in Finance. I know you are dealing with securities, so I would only assume you need a series license, but I did not know if it would be mandatory. Also, what is the likelihood of a 7 figure income?

Depending on your position with an Investment banking firm and they type of client you may not need a series 7 nor do you need an MBA.
HOWEVER is you are goind to have contact with the general public and discuss investment products and strategies you will need to have a license. A general securities license is known as a series 7. People are impressed with titles, so if you want you resume look good, go for the MBA.
The more you put on a resume the better you look, this does not mean the better you are.
Yes you can make 7 figures, if you're good you'll be paid good enough.

An MBA is not necessary--but it wouldn't hurt if you had one....
