Could any one tell me the differences between Asset Management and Investment Banking? asset management is taking care of all of your money/land/rental properties/businesses Asset management is just that. The assets are managed, you give me your money and I'll manage it. Investment banking involves creating new kinds of investments or helping to put deals together. Like public housing or roads, or even company buyouts. In general, asset management refers to investment advisers or stockbrokers taking care of your money in the stocks, bonds etc. in the various markets. Investing banking is a function of most full service securities firms that deals with initial or secondary capital raising for company's that need cash infusions. |
