Investment banking with a physics degree?

just wondering if it's possible to become an investment banker with a physics degree

Yes. I had an industrial engineering degree and worked there. Actually they tend to love quant guys.... but you have to start low, as they have to train you.

Investment banks look more to the grade of degree and the university you went to rather than the subject you did.

If you get a first class or maybe 2.1 from Oxbridge or Warwick then you're in.

Its possible to be an investment banker without any degree. Look at Chris Gardner for example.

Drive, determination, willpower, and an unwavering spirit. With a bit of luck you can find a way. Firms are looking at your personality, how hard you work, how well you pick up their training, and how good you are at adapting.

Business degrees, experience, etc can get you connections, contacts, and a foot in the door. But so can jumping in at the right time & place. As in any business, once you get your foot in there, you still have to force the door open the rest of the way on your own.
